DLSU LPEP

Okay so my classes in La Salle will be starting very very soon (next week), and I don't know if I'll be able to blog anymore, so ya haha! Anyway, now back to the topic of this post, the DLSU LPEP! Basically, it is an orientation where you get to know more about DLSU and at the same time you get to meet your block mates and just really get the whole vibe and feel of being a Lasallian,  In short, it was like a "welcoming party" that lasted for two days. The first day was more of what La Salle is all about, the history, the system, we also had a campus tour, and the second day was all about getting everyone to feel and experience the school spirit. In a whole it was really fun (especially day 2) and I learned a lot about DLSU! I can't wait to start school here because it has always been La Salle, my family came from the same university where in they have shared a lot of great experiences and memories that make me proud of the school I'm going to be in for the next few years of my life. Hehe! ANIMO ALL THE WAY!!! <3

Boraaaaaa

It's been years since I've visited Bora and so I went back during the Labor Day weekend and it was really fun, you know with all the events and local celebs everywhere! On the day we left the island, after being dropped off by the boat that brought us back to Caticlan, I fought the urge to ride the boat back on its way to Boracay haha! I just love the super soft white sand, the clear blue water, and the beach life! I don't want to expound anymore on what I did in each of the four days I was there, instead I'm going to tell you the highlights of my trip!:) So first was my numerous stop overs to Jonah's since it was near the resort I stayed in (Sur) I really love their Mango Melon shake and their Margarita pizza! Second was being able to meet/ see a couple of celebs in person like Daniel Matsunaga (his abs are so dayummm haha), Elmo Magalona (soooo cute!) and Jinri Park. Third was when I met up with my friend Aliya and her sister Diana, we went swimming, and went to the Star world event with the really pretty and hot DJ (sooo jealous)! Fourth was when I went parasailing with Nico and it wasn't scary like I thought it would be! and Lastly was just being able to relax and enjoy the beach! I can't wait to go baaaaack! <3 Piccys are posted below! :)

New Read: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Some people say that it's a good book, others say that it's aights lang, nothing great, whatever. So I've been wanting to check this book out since like before, but then it would always be either out of stock or in a box set, in short I never really got the chance to get it. Anyway I know I've been one of those people who prefer reading book books rather than ebooks, but everyone's gotta learn to be flexible to get the things they want haha! So I found the PDF version of the book, and I can't wait to read it! :) It's been awhile, I honestly didnt finish Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children LOL, I got bored. So ya! Here's to my first ebook!! :p

Here's the link incase you want to read it as well but can't seem to get the book either!

Long Time No Post

Okay, so I know that I haven't been posting and updating this blog lately; well that's because I honestly don't have the time to but I will try to update it as much as possible, and besides, when I do update it I have like 3 new posts to make-up for the times I've been M.IA., so anyway, yup, just a little assurance! :)

In the meantime, just wanted to share this super adorable music duo, Us!, I love them!! They're so cute and absolutely talented. I discovered them one night as I was browsing through youtube, one video led to another so I bumped into theirs and I just fell in love with them haha, can you believe it? They're married and they're like so good for each other! I love their Call Me Maybe cover and their original song, Close to You! <3

Close to You

Summer Blues :(

Oh my goodness! That feeling when you know that summer's coming to an end soon, well for me at least because my classes start on May 27 already, seems pretty far pa but it is soon! I don't know, I guess the reason why I feel this way is because I've felt like I haven't done much of what I originally planned for this summer. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed my summer so far, I did a lot of really fun stuff, it's just that I wished I would've made the most of my time instead of sleeping till 3 in the afternoon, and spending hours and hours online. So I guess it's time for change haha! Okay, so I promise to- wake up earlier (well at least before 12), limit myself from ze computer, gym! (harhar), and to not waste the last few weeks of summer! :)

City of Smiles!

I won't be making a lengthly post anymore because there is honestly a lot to say about one of my favorite cities in the world! <3 I'd rather just make you kwento in person than explain here cuz I might end up writing a whole novel about my adventures, particularly my FOOD adventures here in Bacolod haha! Anyway to sum it all up, I wrote down 5 reasons why I love Bacolod. :)

5 Reasons Why I Love Bacolod

1. THE FOOD!- It's one of the main reasons why I love coming back! Calea, Bob's, Chicken House, Bar 21, Felicia's are just a few of the many heavenly food places here in BCD!

2. My Family!- I just love visiting my relatives here because they're the best and the sweetest! They feed you like 10x a day with good food and they never fail to make you smile and they spoil you with love.... and FOOD(hehe)!!

3. The Scenery- Bacolod is filled with fields and fields of sugar cane! And it's just a really chill place, you get to breathe fresh air, see fuller and bluer skies and is just a good balance of nature and urbanization, its like a mix of Alabang and Laguna... well not really but ya :P.

4. The People- Everyone's just so nice or I don't know, maybe it's just the accent,  but so far so good! You know, that sweet malambing accent.

5. The Hang-out Places- Everything is just so near, the malls, the mountains, the beaches, the resorts, the farms, everything! The longest time of travel would probably be like 30 mins- to an hour and thats so not bad! No butt cramps, no nausea, no "are we there yet" typa stuff haha!

Posted Below are a couple of photos, mostly food! :)

Campuestuhan! The randomest place ever haha

 Caleaaaaa <3

The Ruins! I swear, the structure itself feels so smooth and nice! Yup, you heard me, it FEELS smooth like marble because, according to the super funny tour guide, they built the mansion using cement and egg white with a one is to one ratio (that's A LOT of eggs!), that's why it feels smooth, and is very sturdy.

Felicia's :) ,love their lemon macarons!

At the Panaad Festival :) , they have really nice accessories here!

Bob's! YUMMM

Also discovered that Bacolod already has Tokyo Bubble Tea and that Cotton On's gonna be opening soon! Yay! :)

*As a whole, we spent our 1 week + a day in Bacolod, eating, chilling, going out and sleeping till 3 pm in the afternoon! I really enjoyed the provincial life haha! It's really one of the best escapes from the big ol' city!

New Read: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

I'm actually almost done with the book, just didn't have the time to blog about it earlier cuz I'm currently in Bacolod so ya, busy busy busy eating haha!:p Well this is actually my sister's, and I sorta just grabbed it right before we left the house for the airport because I wanted something to read in in the plane. It's a pretty interesting book, and as scary or creepy as it seems from the cover, its actually not :). It's aights!

When Boredom Strikes! : Photo Edits

Here are a couple of ordinary, boring photos that I took turned into works of art ;) ! hahaha kidding! well not really works of art but more like works resulting from boredom; and I actually enjoyed making them! Just wanted to try out a couple of apps I downloaded recently and decided to play around with 'em! I used reflection, instatext and instasize. Basically, "reflection" makes your photos double, while instatext enables you to add words on your photos with a selection of fonts, and instasize makes your photos fit in the instagram window without the need for you to crop your photos. They're all pretty good apps so I suggest you download 'em, and let your creative juices flowww! :p #BATCH13AHAY

*Posted below are the original and edited versions of each photo!:)

The famous Manila Bay sunset!..... why have one sunset when you can have two?!:)

This was the moon at around 4 pm? Took a picture of it cuz I thought it was pretty cool but then I guess no one's "moon pictures" ever turn out exactly how they'd planned it would haha! (btw, the lines you see in the photo are the electric post lines lol.) , the edited one has one of my fave quotes!!<3

EK'S "The Wheel of Fate"!:)

Hmmmmm Mango Sago from Hong Kong Chef!!

The skull accent on one of Mel Araneta's watches! BTW there are more available and new designs! If you wanna know more about these watches, I wrote about them somewhere down there! Just look for the post entitled "One of a kind watches by Mel Araneta" :P

GRAD

So yesterday was definitely a night to remember, more than the night of nights, more than those fun friday nights and any other night that you can think of because last night, was grad night! The feeling of officially being a graduate and being  a Woodrose alumna is surreal. Imagine, I've been PAREF since nursery  or in other words, I've been a PAREF kid all my life till now. Everything I felt yesterday was just a swirl of emotions, happy, sad, excited, nervous, impatient, ready etc! I'm just glad that I  graduated with the best people, the people I love! Without my parents, teachers and my favorite batch mates I wouldn't have gone this far. I just wanna say thank you and that I'm really grateful for being so blessed! And I really thank the Lord for everything he has given me. Now it's time for a new chapter in my life, da college lyf! Just hoping for the best in the future:)

:)

During grad!

Grad dinner at Cafe Juanitaaa :p

Pretty flowers from Mama Lily<3

Wild, Wild, Woodrose!

This was the best pre-grad everrrr! Way better than the one we had in Gr. 7 fo sho! All of us, including our parents came in cowboy/ cowgirl/ american indian outfits. We even had a mechanical bull which, judging by one of the pics I posted below looked like I rode it, but sadly I didnt have the chance to actually ride ride it moving and all because I was wearing a dress :p. Anyway, the whole night was really fun and a success! We had really good performances by our fellow batch mates  teachers, and parents. We had fun games, and nice prizes, really good food and memorable tributes. It was really funny seeing our "wanted" posters, posted around the venue; we had no idea that there would be such and from what I'm guessing is that the pictures they used were from stalking our facebook profiles HAHA. Sneaky sneaky! The highlights from that night were, when all the dads started singing "Daughters" by John Mayer and gave each of their daughters a rose, I cried cuz I felt so emotional, and I wasnt planning on crying at all haha, another was when our teacher's prepared really cute and sweet videos for us, and lastly was when we gave our tribute to our parents where in each of us gave them a little message out in the field, a promise, to give thanks and to say sorry for whatever. As a whole, I really enjoyed it and it was an event that we will all remember, students, parents and teachers!:)

At the event!

:p

 Programmm :)

Shakira's Despedida!

Last April 2 was my friend Shaka's surprise despedida! A handful of my friends and I decided to throw her this surprise party because she will be leaving the Philippines for good :( Sadly she got in a college in the US and she told us that if she got in a college in the States then she would go there. We all prayed and hoped that she would fail her tests so that she wouldnt leave, HAHA JUSTTT KIDDING! Well obviously she would get in cuz she's smart but we didnt think that it would be this serious, our plan of going to DLSU was more of a reality you know. But a few weeks back she told us that she might leave for good, and a few days ago she told us that she was leaving for good, so a despedida was one thing we could give her to thank her for being such a genuine friend, and to show her that we will really miss her! So thanks to tito Kamlesh for allowing us to throw the party in the Dialani residence, and for bringing her out of the house and keeping her distracted so that we could set up and make the surprise a success! BUT the surprise ended up being medj fail because she entered the house while we were practicing our performance for her haha! In the end though, everyone had a blast and the party went pretty well! We had our own photobooth courtesy of Cha, her mac, a white blanket, and props hahahahaha, we also had a lot of good food, great music, and a really emotional ppt presentation and letter reading for Rashiks! It was a great way to say goodbye and to just make the most out of the moments we have left with this Indian girl. WE WILL MISS YA SHAKS! LOVE YA :*

"Surprise!!"

 Food and decor haha!

At ze partayyyy

Hehe with chariz and eunice!!

Getting used to being just the three of us!:( haha

WE WILL MISS YOU SHAKS!!!!!!!!

The Inspiration Station

I just wanted to share some of my fave quotes that really inspire me to want  to do better and be better as a person in life, and I hope it'll inspire you too! Hey, I'm only 17, so I need all the inspiration I can get! Most especially since I'll be off to college in a few weeks time! Classes in La Salle start on May  27 (omg, I knowww) and I gotta have a dose of something to push me to be ready and to do my best in college! hehe :), You know what they say, it's a whole new different world after high school, a sheltered all-girls high school to be exact. LOL

*I got most of them, if not all of them from tumblr!

Feels like Vintage Bike Heaven

Yesterday we went to Batangas to check out one of the biggest private vintage BMW bike collections owned by my dad's friend. The reason as to WHY, is because my dad is a "bike/car enthusiast" as some people may call it :p. My dad likes collecting as well, and he enjoys buying vintage cars and bikes, and restoring them then selling them or swapping them after he gets bored, like no kidd. My favorite ones right now, would be the two-seater lambretta, and the mini cooper!-They're both red and really cute haha! So if you guys are car/bike enthusiasts you're welcome to go and hang with my dad or my brother, they're both really good with cars/bikes, like sometimes I don't even know what they're talking about, I try to follow but, mehhhh :)), Don't get me wrong, I do have an appreciation for these things like I find them pretty cool, but their level of appreciation is way deeper than mine, like engine level hahahah! okay, so posted below are pics from out visit!:)  *NOTE: The owner collects other bikes and cars too, not just the BMW ones. He also collects birds, skiing equipment and other random stuff as well.

(Just click the pictures to zoom in/see it better!)

Casa Corazon!

The first showroom was filled with different types of vintage bikes! From big ones to cute little ones!

The next one was filled with really cute mini trails in diff colors!

Also in display were different of types of bicycles and what I'm guessing is a go kart!

The next showroom displayed really good-lookin' vintage cars! My fave's the tiny black one!:p

"Save the best for last!" The last showroom was filled with one of the biggest vintage BMW bike collection we've ever seen!

Here are a couple of individual shots of the bikes in da room!

More individual shots! They're all so nice and fully restored and polished and all!

Some pictures of the go karts, engines etc

The owner also had this cool room filled with skiing equipment

He also had a couple of slot machines, gas pumps and other stuff around

With my newly found friends! Meet Alejandro and Big Chief!! hehe
